| Tea Party leader thinks the Republican Party has been taken over by ‘gay thugs’
by Robyn Pennacchia Nov 29, 2013
Tea Party Ft. Lauderdale founder Danita Kilcullen, possibly bitter over not having been cast as Velma Kelly in a local production of “Chicago,” is up in arms over this idea she has that the Republican Party just loves gay people too much, and is in the thrall of the Log Cabin Republicans.
She is particularly opposed to the Employment Non-Discrimination act, as it would possibly force her to hire an “effeminate” man with orange hair and neck tattoos or something. She wrote a letter to the Broward County Republicans denouncing them for being so all about protecting gay rights. Or something. Because 10 Senate Republicans voted to support ENDA.

The text of said letter, via Sun-Sentinel:
We must fight with all we have… We must put pressure on the House like has never been seen before. I’ll be damned if I will ever be forced to hire someone with orange hair, body/neck/face covered with tattoos, multiple piercings, or a man in a dress… or for that matter, a demonstrative effeminate male or purposeful butch-looking female. The Log Cabins are the same lobbyist organization that has all but taken over BREC; and besides that, we have someone on the Board of BREC who is using her position to openly put pressure on some BREC members to stand for same-sex marriage.
This is the same group who, based on nothing other than his recent stand for gay marriage, supports Chris Christie and who publicly worked against Cuccinelli for his stand for traditional marriage. Keep in mind, this is a thug organization with only their own “special interests” in play. I wonder what they will do with democrat Charlie Crist now running for governor? I’m betting on them to vote for Charlie, along with some other mousey republicans. I will now be accused of ‘splitting’ BREC. I am not! I am in standing with the Republican Platform, which is what I stated the very night I was sworn-on to BREC. We must stop this in short!
You know, really. If you hate gay people so much that you think the Republican Party just loves them to death? You have serious freaking problems. That’s when you know you’ve gone right off the deep end.
Kilcullen was previously the subject of controversy when she was arrested for drunkenly kicking a police officer in the chest with a stiletto heel. She claimed the incident occurred because she was “fighting injustice” by trying to use the bathroom at a hotel where she was not staying, and was sentenced to 20 days community service. Also one time she told Toni Braxton to go back to Africa. So, you know, seems like a lady with her shit together. |
