They appear to handle the ball better in the backcourt. Multiple players simultaneously on the court in Wilson, Smith, Emelogu, and Eddie to a lesser extent are comfortable with attacking the defender using the dribble. In the past, there was only one player on the team you could trust to handle the ball against pressure. Opposing teams would stretch the perimeter defense to pressure the ball and jump out on high screens with impunity to disrupt the flow. The point guard Wilson has no shooting skills. Smith may end up getting more time there.
