I got my Jan bill from my new Health Care provider and paid my first month's premium. I have not yet received my insurance card or plan details. I called to inquire why.............got an answering service which took my name and number and said I would get a return call within 48 hours. They said Health Republic Insurance has been absolutely inundated with calls. Recall .....this is a NEW not for profit insurance company in NY that offers substantially lower rates than for profit companies. I know three people (including me) who have chosen them..........all three older non workers that get substantial subsidies. I predict 50% higher rates next year once their insurance pool becomes known..
