James, I thought I'd go to prodigy this morning and see if any new info was there concerning the post Doug Best put up (imported here). Man was it a shock to see what has happened to Prodigy's MTBB. Very SAD. I quit going around some time ago as it appeared to me the boards were ruined by some who knew very little if anything at all. I truly feel sorry for some of those people on Prodigy. What is your opinion? Are they simply not researching or do they truly fail to understand the potential magnitude of this FTEL/FNET/DCTC venture. Do they not understand the delicate nature of the investment banking world? I do not know as I am at a loss as to what their thinking process is. It looks like they take the pulse of both FTEL & DCTC about every ten seconds which infers they do not understand this deal. I venture to say they may be playing a dangerous game with their potential future worth in my opinion. I left them a factual post then left again. I thought okay try to help them if possible. They may listen for a minute then flame the heck out of me. Who knows? One thing is for sure in my humble opinion their potential loss will be their own doing and others will come and get in and profit from those mistakes being made by some. I guess there may be some there who will sadly be left behind. If they aren't smart enough to know their own investment, I guess it should be that way. However, it is tragic to see what they have allowed to happen to them. One guy who doesn't appear too swift looks as if he comes by shakes their brains out then stuffs it back in all reconfigured to his agenda. Can you imagine? I'd act like the guy was dead and never answer anything he put up. It looks like he only wants some kind of sicko attention. Who knows? I hope they WAKE UP but I doubt they will. It seems to me they are over questioning some unimportant things and underquestioning the major things. Then they appear to have the propensity to read disaster into almost everything. I wish for their sakes they would call the companies and do reasearch ASAP. But who am I to try and run their business? I just hate to see possibly bad things happen to good people. There were some really super people there and still are; I just can't relate to what seems to be stupidity. How do you stand it? I mean this tragedy really upsets me NOT for me but for them. I do not know of anything I could do to help them do you? Well, I will at least have wishful thinking that not all of them have been taken in by some of the "pure garbage" posted there. Hey they were so vicious in my opinion that they would attack me if I said much of anything them blame me later for their own decisions right or wrong. I truly do not know how anyone could help them. I think Art Harris and I left about the same time. The service was getting frustrating to me. I do believe that Silicon Investor has a much higher level of investors as far as knowledge goes. Plus, they seem much more committed and most seem to do their own homework. That sure makes it nice. Oh well it still bothers me for them on Prodigy MTBB, as I think a lot of many of them must just be tolerating it and trying to get through all the posts without clouding their own judgement. It was all I could do not to just POST, READ, UNDERSTAND, DON'T SELL but I couldn't do it as I felt it was probably too late for them to start learning now. They seem to be too busy in "gripe mode" I mean some good and decent people who are smarter than they think acting like idiots in my opinion. It was heartbreaking for me. I noticed a lot of the other "oldies" were gone and I think now I understand why. Let them do their thing others will take their place <IMHO>.
