Mike: Manipulating is a too intense word to use. I would call it the herd effect. The herd of MM's and funds draws a following of sheep. Wherever the herd goes, the sheep go. Sometimes the size of the sheep following is large; sometimes it is smaller. The number of sheep varies with where the herd goes. Sometimes the herd does not know where it is going, but sometimes it has a very good instinct of where it should be going. Sometimes the size of the sheep following overwhelms the herd and things get out of hand (for the herd) or in hand (for the sheep). I lost a ton and made a ton of money by being in with the sheep. Knowing where the herd is going or wants to go is where the real money is at, but as we all know, that is no easy task. If we could only find a way to manipulate the herd's direction???
