<<Made my first move yesterday. 1% of my portfolio into a gold mutual fund. Small steps, then I can't get burned too badly.>>
$XAU up over 3% today. That means I now have 3 out of 10 of my recent investments in the plus column instead of 2 out of 9!
I'm going looking for gold bullion in my area on Friday. Anyone have any advice. I'm initially looking for Maple Leafs and Kruggerands. I live in the New Orleans area. I'd rather buy them locally than have them shipped to me.
QUESTION? I've found where I can buy locally, but I have to pay sales tax. What if I order from another state?
OK, no tax if I buy here:
numismaticproperties.com
but the price is a little higher. Has anyone used these people?
Anyone know if they are for sure legitimate. I get scared sending my money that distance.
