That's true, but if I buy 100 shares at $3, 5% is $15, but 5% of a $20 stock (at 100 shares) is $100... and it seems more likely that the $20 stock moves 5% quicker than the $3 stock.. but that's just my personal opinion.. also, I never place a stop limit such that I will make less than $100 on a trade...(I'm not a huge investor so $100 is not a bad gain.)
