The town I live in passed an ordinance two years ago at town meeting prohibiting the sales of plastic water bottles. There was a huge push to repeal it....groups were formed, advertising spent on it, and a new article placed on the town meeting docket repealing the law two days ago...there were a lot of people there.......the article to repeal it was voted down. Something about conventional wisdom when the forum is in place to exercise it. Yes it's a small step, but it's not backwards.
