I am as antiwar as it gets. But I should have qualified that my focus is domestic policy and not foreign policy. So from that perspective, the wars are mostly immaterial except for their domestic impact. The jury is still out.

As I said, Obama is not making the same mistakes as Bush. But that does not make him any less of a danger. In fact in some ways he is more of a danger because areas that were spared under Bush are now damaged under Obama whereas the damages that Bush caused have not been repaired (admittedly some of those damages cannot be repaired in a decade...but neither will Obama's mess).

Bush's mess was overt and obvious with clear, if time consuming and expensive solutions. Obama's mess is far more insidious and harder to fix.

Party allegiances should mean nothing when dealing with the government. We as the people should not care who creates the bondage. We should only care about freedom. The 3 core issues I mentioned are the prerequisites for freedom. Everything else is just the garnishing that is of either little consequence or can be reversed easily by the next admin.
