You're not making any sense. McVeigh killed scores of people and injured hundreds more. He was sentenced to death, and that sentence was carried out rather swiftly compared to the norm today. That didn't leave him much time to redeem himself with anyone but God.

Your problem is that you think Nelson Mandela is being made into a saint like Tookie Williams was. While I agree that Mandela's life is being whitewashed, there is no sense in comparing him to actual murderers. Yeah, Mandela was a militant before his incarceration, but he was nowhere close to the level of McVeigh or Williams in terms of crimes against humanity.
