| | | Neal, thanks for sharing your holdings and thoughts on them with the board (not sure how many still look here but I'm keeping it alive anyway..barely..:).
We hold a few in common, especially in terms of proportion, I think, and so I feel much of your joy re DECN and pain and frustration re VSYS and IMSC. Regrets re XPLT also, as diddly was right on with that one, but I couldn't pull the sell trigger at the time, although in retrospect I should have. Made money on CLCN but not near as much as I could have, as it took off without news..did pretty well on BNLB too, which finally took off after the reverse split catalyst...Man, that was a long wait!
I'm thankful to thomas burke and you for keeping me interested in DECN, as it really helped this year since it took off right after I bought it. I have recently sold all for a short term play in WYY, but continue to watch to get back in.
The criteria of this board are in stark contrast to my pig-headed focus on VSYS and IMSC. I won't bore anyone with whining as all know the story.
Time will tell but I feel I've learned something this year:
If a stock has weak fundamentals, it better have a good near term story, as it is likely to be much more weakly supported than a company with better financials if the story doesn't happen.
Wow. Profound stuff. You'd think one who has been investing in micros for the last 15 years might have learned this lesson before now! Value is usually rewarded. Hope and hype is usually not.
Happy Holidays to you Neal, and whoever else still reads the board!
Ted
