I've seen too many situations where if you wait until the gap closing satisfies this requirement, you'll miss out on an opportunity. I look for it to find it's way into the trading range of the last few hours of the closing from the date in question, in this case Dec. 5th. We've reached that point, so I consider it closed but I know many don't agree with my version of closing the gap.

the gap hasn't been completely satisfied until we hit the close of Dec 5th.
