Chinese Subscribers Don't Have Number Portability
Which Leads To Pent Up iPhone Demand At China Mobile

China Mobile CHL +0.02% started taking preorders for Apple AAPL +0.3%’s iPhone starting yesterday.
It appears that only its Beijing site is taking orders as I checked out over a dozen other city sites but could
not find any other iPhone related screens. All the sites are touting the upcoming December 18 partners
conference and 4G technology. (Note that my family and I own Apple shares).

Not having number portability will help Apple’s China Mobile iPhone sales

The iPad mini was being advertised on the Fujian site
