I think he had a skillset that would have served this country well at a time when we really, REALLY need it. Romney reminded me of GHW Bush in the sense that he was never really willing to get nugly (nasty ugly) as he campaigned.

There was a Presidential Documentary about GHW Bush on about 6 weeks ago. At one point during the show Bush said that the campaign had gotten personal to a level that he just wasn't comfortable with....and he wasn't going to go there. I think Romney operated the same way in 2012. Some viewed that as weak but I respected it. He handled himself with Presidential decorum (especially with Candy Crowley).

The level of political discourse in Washington has to improve. We (as citizens and voters) have been divided and subdivided to the extent that we probably couldn't even reach a meaningful consensus that the sun rises in the east. If we don't stop ringing the division bell in this country we're not going to fix anything.....and we've got some major issues to solve. This country is in serious need of some unity
