"I'm sure there are good Christians and I'm sure there are good atheists"

Very good story, btw...

Superstition does not necessarily equate to immorality. Christians can be very decent people--and often are. The problem is that when people are outside of the ambit of Reason, they fall prey to any shepherd who offers them some self serving (but irrational) inducement. Superstitious people can easily be led as sheep--so that even torture (Jesus tortures people in Hell out of love, doesn't he!?) can be made to appear the good. The Nazi movement demonstrated this, just as all the witch burnings and the burning to death of "heretics" demonstrated this phenomenon.

People who merely "believe" things (rather than think things through) are the most dangerous creatures on the planet. The fact is that every single member of every single one of the 34,000 Christian sects, and every single member of all the other thousands of religious sects believe themselves to be morally superior to all others--just as the Nazis did and do. They are all elected of God! How lucky!

Of course, they are only "Chosen People" through their own shallow and immature "choosing"--through their own irrational and IMMORAL conceit.
