I don't debate economics, per se, as I don't think any of us our qualified. Most people discuss it like they have pHD's in it.

What I will debate, the worst socialized waste is to the rich and corporations. We could cut the defense budget in half there is so much waste there, we should raise the taxes on the rich and force them to bring the trillions overseas home to be taxed.

The rich are controlling this country and what puzzles me is how may conservative workers/middle class are willing to help them keep their boot on our neck. They need to fight for unions again instead.

Go look at any graph and you will see there is a perfect inverse correlation between the decline in unions and the middle class.

When Raygun took office about 35% of the work force was unionized and not it is about 6%. He was hired to break the unions for the rich. It allowed them to pay workers less and it sure worked.

Raise taxes and make the rich pay their fare share and there will be plenty of money to pay off our debt and for social programs.
