Who the "We" are is most important. The "We" of the Spanish Inquisition certainly were quick at discerning evil. The "We" of the Nazi Party was quick to jump at discerning evil. Stalin's "We" was certainly very adapt at discerning evil. What you mean when you say "We" is not "Us" just "Them" that can be treated like animals and sent in cattle cars to gulags. Beating and burning and killing by "We" may be in order after confessions elicited by torture of "Them". It is all justified by God who gives "We" righteousness through his grace.

Perhaps you are too slow to understand that ignorance and prejudice and fear walk hand in hand...
