I don't know what your thoughts are about this recent budget deal. But notice how this deal pre emptied the second round of sequestration cuts which was slated to be a large part of the military budget. Both the parties did not want that so they decided on the kumbaya. So the first round of the sequestration cuts impacted a significant part of the social programs but the second part was pre empted. On the gun control issue, it would be really stupid for Congress to wait until this gun violence becomes bearable. Wonder how many more people should die before congress decides to turn the gun on the NRA and send them scurrying for good. Just some thoughts over sips of coffee on a Sunday morning waiting for the Sunday talk shows to begin.
