Unsubstantiated rumors.

Of course they are unsubstantiated. The only parties that could substantiate them would be breaching contract by substantiating them. Doesn't mean they aren't true or completely plausible. We on this thread indulge in rumor ALL THE TIME. I for one, was pretty surprised by the size of the rumored volume commitment at the time the Sprint deal was signed, but took it as an example of Apple's negotiation leverage. I don't expect that there are actually any penalties for missing volume commitments.
