We don't have more than the European Union which has about 2x the number of people... More what? Inequality - Its pretty close despite all the redistribution (including between countries, there is for example an EU fund for lesser developed ares) and concern for inequality that they have there. Per capita purchasing power? - The US has more. Purchasing power for someone at the 10 percentile of income? Again its higher in the US than in the EU.
