I am not changing the issue. I was pointing out all along that the progressives in the US have been ineffective (ok, not as effective as they should be) because they have failed to dress their message so that it is compatible with the American psyche. I pointed out that the Right has done a much better job on that front and so the Left should learn from them. You've been arguing that progressives have been doing great. So I am asking for evidence.

To point out at the meager social gains in the US and calling it social progress is like going to a poorly developing country and saying there has been great technological progress because they have laptops and cars, meanwhile the country is clearly way behind the rest of the world and what gains they have is simply trickled down as part of the global progress.
