Just sitting back and watching all these analysts fall all over themselves as to what the deal will mean for Apple and how do they update their revenues, profit and share price prediction models. It is pretty funny, at least to me, to see. I know it is their business but it is funny none the less.
The devil will be in the details of the deal. My guess is that Apple waited for getting the deal they wanted with CM but that is just a total guess on my part. But I will say one thing. If Apple did get the deal that they had wanted with CM, then a good part of the credit should go to Tim Cook who waited for the deal and didn't go for the short term gain to prop up the share price when things didn't look good to the market for Apple. Not bad for one of the 3 worst CEO according to one stupid writer ;-)
As many have pointed out, Apple would appear to be undervalued at this price. The whip sawing of the share price of the past couple of weeks is because no one really knows the details of the deal with CM and people/investors/traders can't make up their minds who to believe. Since I am not selling, I can be patient here but since Apple is a big part of my portfolio because of past growth, I have trailed the market all year long.
Good luck out there.
