You don't think that your determined defense of Krugman's stimulus ideas - given what was possible to be achieved in Congress - fits perfectly into that wording above that you claim does not define you? Trust me on this next point John, I do not think that is a bad thing. I admire when a person defends a position unwaveringly. But you do have rigid thinking when it comes to the size of government AND what government should do for people and you seem to hold that position even though there is zero chance that much of what you want is politically impossible. The "political reality" is that taxes are not going to be raised now so we can increase safety nets for instance. Am I misunderstanding something?
