Mattie, I currently like the Aerospace sector. BA seems quite attractive to me. PCTH is in this sector and a very attractive supplier to BA. Financials are also a hot sector. First grade: JPM, EGRP, RNR for more speculative hearts: SFC. MO is a good pick. Tobacco lost its dark cloud now that most of the terms are settled. Good pick ! OTOH, I would look at those really beaten down techs: fist to rise are those mask makers because masks will always be needed. Good pick: DPMI I think. Then there are a number of beaten down issues that could be picked up: CTU (oxygen supply), NANO (wafer inspection & measurement), IPEC (CMP) and of course: COHR, CYMI. Later ahead (February) You could consider disk drives again. Best players there: RDRT, WDC. Then there's IDTI. They could surpass Cyrix in becoming No. 3 in X86 suppliers. Well managed and got their own fabs. Great prospects for their upcoming C6+ and C7 X86 clone designs. Could go head to head with AMD. Strong buy because of excellent technology: SQNT (they are into multiprocessing on Intel CPU's. Their architecture dubbed cc-NUMA is hot. Could squeeze UNIX-RISC chips from above while SMP does it from below). Strong sell on this kind of news: SUN & IBM (IBM's PC business is small compared to Hewlett Packard. It relies on mainframe and RS/6000). Also sell: Apple. This company just doesn't get it right. But the market knows.. best wishes CROSSY bTW: didn't enter DK yet again. Could do soon.
