Just found out I got a grant to get a class set of handheld GPS units!!!! Woooohooo. I applied for it back in the beginning of the year, but it's an outside grant, and there's a lot of competition, and I thought "No way are they going to give an English teacher a class get of GPS units because she wants to run geocaching runs in the back fields of her school, leaving poetry and speech clues for the kids to find." But they did!!!! I'm so happy. And so are my students. A full set of chromebooks AND a full set of GPS- all in one year! Now if I can just get the grant to get computers to loan out to my poor students who don't have computers at home my life will be complete.
