I have a signed "Odd Jobs" by John Updike (he lived in Beverly Farms where my college roommate runs the Bookshop of Beverly Farms and she got it for me) and my mother's signed copy of Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thorton Wilder. His sister was her English teacher at Westover.

Interestingly Shel Silverstein, my favorite of our children's literature division refused to sign books. He also insisted on an office at Harper & Row even though he lived in Sausalito CA. Our offices were used to film Glenn Close's work space in Fatal Attraction. They were right across from MOMA and had views of St. Patrick's.

I've had to give away 100s of books I inherited from my grandfather's library. First editions series of several authors. I grew up just sitting in my father's office reading them all day. Now people buy those at used book stores to use as bookends or shelf decoration.

So that's it as far as sharing. I'm being cyberstalked by some boiler room bullies who shorted my stock and resent my posting here. They have gone to great lengths to disparage me and my family, so I'm afraid that's all the sharing I care to do.
