You are under the mistaken impression that most people want to learn, know, grow, and do the right thing. I used to think the same, but I have come to realize this is not true. The issue is not limited to politics. People buy a variety of cars for a variety of reasons, much of which has nothing to do with transportation and some which they do not even understand themselves. Since all the resources in the world are available to help you choose the right car for your needs, then logically if your presupposition was true, there would be no more than 2 dozen car models out there - a "best" for each category of need. But that is not the case. I suggest your look for solution in a different domain.
