Interestingly, it appears that planned parenthood gives women ultrasounds before abortions already. Longnshort sent this:

tell koan that PP won't give a woman an abortion with out doing an ultra sound. Women come in there and are embarassed that they waited so long and lie about how long they have been pregnant. so the doctors have to know how old the baby is for safety and surgical reasons

Those bastards!!!! How dare they stick a big ol' phallus shaped instrument up a woman's sniz. That's a humiliating violation of her femaleness. Those sexist doctors should be required to perform the surgery without violating the woman's body. She shouldn't even have to take her clothes off.

Wait....what's your objection to women having an ultrasound before having a vacuum jammed up their cooch for an abortion? Is it that it isn't dignified? Because, ummm.....the whole process lacks dignity.

Or is it less about the process and more about the fact that when she sees junior's face and little pee pee that she might have second thoughts about having the procedure? And if it is that, and we both know that this is exactly what the objection is, who the hell are you to interfere with a woman making an informed decision based on as much information as it is reasonably possible to give? Why do you think you know what is best for a woman in that position?
