I noticed the differences but didn't give them a lot of thought, just looked for correlations based on the movement of TRIN based on a change of value of .30, which I found to be too large to come into play often enough. You'll notice that the 2 methods I feel have potential predict opposite outcomes if you look at the value of TRIN only without taking into consideration the direction of price movement.
