Historically there is much more Christians persecution of Christians than Muslims persecution of Christians.

There is an old joke:
When a bear is seen, ready to charge, by a couple of friends in the woods, one stops and pulls out his pack and begins to put on running shoes. "You don't think you can outrun a bear with those shoes, do you?" asks his companion. The shod one replies "I don't have to outrun the bear, I only have to outrun you".

In evolution, the fiercest competition is always amongst those trying for the same niche.
