The Nazi's are a poor example to use against my thesis regarding education making people good and smart.

I read a great article years ago about how the strong military and conformist culture of Germany was what pushed Germany into supporting Hitler. It was exactly the same culture in Japan.

I feel when children are indoctrinated at a young age it is like inserting a virus in a new computer that makes clear thinking very hard and it gums up the operation of the mind forever. We see examples of people who were indoctrinated with religion at a young age wrestle with it the rest of their lives no matter how much education.

The proof of that is everywhere. Just look at how people who are indoctrinated in a religion all over the world have to fight against that myth even when they become educated. And the harsher the indoctrination the harder it is to excise.

Look at Mormon kids. As crazy as that religion is how many Romney kids escaped and they are all highly educated. Look at the middle east. Read the book "Infidel" she tells how hard it is.

But kids who are not indoctrinated can more easily be educated about reality.

There is also an irony here. Many of the kids (in the ghettos) today are raised without serious religion. Few of my friends from the streets of Richmond went to church and so it was easier for us to just learn reality without having to remove the dogma virus first or fight through it.
