Well, then you have to account for why we lived for 100,000 years with the same brains, but in caves? And had no democracy or civil rights. We were pretty static for those 100,000 years and pretty barbaric. We ate each other. We raised people for food.

Civilization really only took off about 10,000 years ago. Why? I think it is because we don't deduce stuff very well at all, we learn stuff.

It seems to me civilization grew out of written language which allowed us to pass on knowledge from one generation to the next and build on what each preceding generation learned.

And the more correct knowledge we had the faster civilization grew e.g. the ancient Greeks and the Age of enlightenment.

I'd say wisdom comes from experience, not knowledge. The world has many very wise men with very limited educations.
