That response was not aimed at you or anyone else on this board. It was simply quoted to show that the doctrine of "once saved always saved" is not of God but of men.

I sincerely hope that this verse does not apply to you or anyone else on this board.

BUT, be assured that St. Peter is giving the warning in 2Pet because it is possible :

"For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome,"

Escaping the "pollution of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ..." is clearly talking about salvation. It is also clearly showing that once saved one can 'again be entangled and overcome'.
