I do love reading fake, totally distorted news.

Here is an excellent story of what banning DDT in the U.S. has accomplished.

Bald Eagle Back From The Brink

audubon.org

My personal take by observation here in Western Washington. I grew up on an island on Puget Sound between Seattle and Tacoma. For a period of over 8 years there were absolutely no sightings. But by the late 1980's and with a lot of work bald eagles began to reappear in Western Washington. The same case was happening up in the San Juans of Washington. Now there are three nesting pairs near my home up there and a couple nesting pairs up above the house here on Three Tree Pt. Now when I go over to the island to visit my dad (where I grew up) we see bald eagles on pilings out in front of the house on Quartermaster Harbor every day. That was never the case when I was growing up there.

The records on the Skagit river are pretty impressive too.
