Wow ... <g> I had an interest in navigation and astronomy 30 years ago and actually understood half of all that back then, but I'd never heard of a tutulemma until you mentioned it just now. Seems they might be a rather recent innovation is all ... apod.nasa.gov Never lost power here, it was just a regular snow storm here on the Gaspe, but your friends sound like they may be in the affected area. I'm wondering though, if the busy signal might be because their line is down? Still, if they've got a big wood stove they'll be fine, and as you say, luckier than many. I don't like anything at the moment to be honest, leery of most everything ... watching some though, ZEN RDX NPK (even ORT) for developments, NAN, the gold sector of course, but for now it's mostly show me the money ...
