Seems the 'ownership society' was global. Plutocrats coming out smelling like a rose doubling down during the crash. I sometimes wonder to what extent the entire global boom bust cycle was synchronized. Buying stocks and high end global gateway RE in 2009-11 then expanding to cheap RE everywhere else abandoned by J6P whose credit and equity is gone. . While they are at it now probably buying up all the miners left in the dust which was the 'safe' sanctuary of perma bear gold bugs.
