They are killing each other on the streets today over a pair of sneakers or sports emblazened ski parkas, why i generally do not mind that people choose to be gay & would rather have more pacifist sheep in the world than street roaming armed thugs & suicide bombers. That they stoned this St Stephen fellow, would have been a Jewish execution, the Romans preferred the wooden cross which they hung up 1000's before the gates of Jerusalem during their occupations and a 1000 were prolly named Jesus with visions of purifying the holy lands.
But to think this tradition of pacifism & brotherly love first dawned on the mind of humans with Jesus or these Christian saints, is pure folly, they just did the best job of honoring themselves & edifying their own history. What was recorded history was that which was allowed to be copied, if it wasnt copied or scribed it was lost, end of story. Human life is not that complex, the golden rule has been around a long long time, prolly 30,000 -50,000 yrs before Jesus. Ignorance, want & war have always been with us but we have had civilizations before that lived in some relative eras of peace.
You can believe in this wonderful mish mash, even the angels war in heaven, pretty accurate depiction of reality in the huma pysche, also a pretty good depiction of the Congress of the USA, just need some fatted pork running around being chased by rghteous phantom whiners:
