The Clonmel plant is an DD final assembly plant. It makes sense for
Seagate to close this plant, since their "Seagate City" plant in
Singapore would have enough capacity. Previouly, Seagate expected it
would need more capacity but now with its current problems it needs to
eliminate fixed assets.

The other plant delay was in Cork County. That was to be a disk
manufacturing plant. Seagate delayed the plant when their unit sales
plummeted. Don't need the disk if you are going to make less drives.
I believe this is a good barometer. When and If Seagate announces
that this project would progress then we know Seagate may be turning
around or that they are confident that they have completed their
transition to MR technology.
