>You care only as much as it takes to vote other people's money toward your socialist beliefs.
Whatever. Throw "socialist" around. If to you that word means what you seem to think it means, then I'm a proud socialist. As is, like 75% of the country. If not quite a bit more.
>Doesn't matter if you make six figures and are willing to pay, as long as you can force those making seven figures and more to pay more.
What does that even mean? A few posts back, you were saying that koan was only willing to raise taxes on the "rich" because he wasn't one of them. He tells you he is, so you essentially say, "well, fine, you would raise taxes on yourself... because it'll raise taxes on someone else."
I don't understand where your worldview comes from, but where I come from, we don't raise taxes on people for shits and giggles. We hope that we don't have to raise them. But, when it comes to feeding people, or building better transportation systems, or keeping our air and water clean, we would rather raise taxes than not do those things.
Get that thought out of your head -- we don't want to raise taxes for the sake of raising taxes, or punishing someone. (Well, maybe Chris does, but that's 'cause he's a bit of a dick :) )
I think you know that, but it doesn't fit with your argument.
