"For one thing, the trucking industry is crying for drivers at about 40k a year."

As a diabetic, I'm barred from that job, or I'd probably be doing it. I love to drive, travel and see America. The worst alcoholic I've ever known got one of those jobs.

I'd look for truck driving jobs to be one of the first victims of driverless, autonomous vehicles. They are working now, and before you know it, the Kenworth you see in the other lane will have no human driver.

These robot driven trucks may have a human on board, but he'll just be there to gas it up and fill the tires (the robot will know if they need it). The human won't make $40k. The robot will be driving 24/7/365 other than when receiving maintenance.
