Hi TimF; Thinking further on why so many apply for jobs at Walmart, I wonder if unemployment insurance has anything to do with it. That is, in order to collect unemployment insurance you have to show that you're applying for work, don't you? And so a considerable number of people who are applying for work may not actually have any intention of getting hired. They're just going through the motions.
