Dave, don't you think it would be good if a hospital bill reflected what items and procedures actually cost? If you took your car to have the oil changed, and they charged you $500, and itemized things like a rag costing $10, you wouldn't think too highly of that, would you? Even if you could argue them down to $29.95.

Why is a hospital any different? Why not fix the dumb system?
