gawd I'm glad that qntm never quite hit my target of 20-21 I've been talking about for the last couple of months. If it had hit that I'd be in and in the deep do-do that all qntm owners find themselves in tonight. I just hope most of you had puts to protect your position because we's gonna down down down. I would guess somewhere between 15 and 18. I also would like to take this opportunity to revise my trading range for '98. Before I had said 20-26 but that is obviously not going to happen. I would guess now 10-22. All along I said my guesses were conditioned on no earnings surprises being announced. Long term I think it is good that qntm is coming clean and getting the bad news out. In fact, I may get in tomorrow, especially if we hit 15 as I still consider qntm a good company, even if a little too overvalued. I've been saying all along that qntm needs to jettison its disk drive facilities to somebody like wdc. As long as qntm holds on to its dd stuff I wouldn't expect a quick recovery. Probably qntm will jump all around the teens and make for a great trading stock. Anyone hoping to see 30 before year 2000 is probably out of luck...
