30 percent are teenagers. Most of the rest are either supervisors or managers who make more, or the job is not the sole source of household income. A 35 year old manager making at least halfway decent money, a 20 year old college student not even fully supporting themselves with a fast food job, or a part time worker married to someone with a higher paying full time job, are not teenagers, but they are also are not people trying to support families, or even fully support themselves, just from the income of a minimum wage job. Add people like those to the teens and you have a majority of fast food workers.
