Matthew 26:11

"For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always."

I'd rather flip Jesus around.

The rich taking more than their share, using money, power and influence to get it, we will always have with us. The pols for sale are a constant throughout history.

One of the reasons I'm not a Christian is that victim mentality toward being economically screwed, but really it's more that I just can't believe that fable.

What citizens in America have is votes. Unfortunately, we have only two dominant political parties, and they both sell theirs to different interest groups. So, we're left with voting for Wall Street ( (D)'s ), or oil, mining and the military-industrial complex ( (R)'s ).

So, it still matters who you vote for, lying, criminal, corrupt investment bankers, or lying, corrupt, polluting energy interests and lying corrupt mass-murdering military-industrial complex. Myself, I'll keep picking the lying, criminal, corrupt investment bankers.

The choice sucks, but the bankers kill way less people.

If only there was some way to harness all those votes for things people really want and need!
