These are some of the facts they don't like to see repeated...in a booming year for the stock market under new management, SI posting volume contracted by double digits. But hey, we have scrolling headlines now.

Daily posting average is 1838 with the lowest total since SI's second year.

This table is based on year-to-year comparisons of the first post ID number for each year. I assume the large decline after presidential election years reflects a jump in political posts during the election campaigns. The average annual decline rate since 1/1/2000 is 12.4%...
