The maggot constantly uses the phrase, "Now, let me be clear..."

Here's why... the maggot insists on seeking permission to demonstrate his clarity because he has an overwhelming and genuine underlying feeling of insecurity and inadequacy which constantly emerges and he keeps trying to suppress it with that phrase... his smug arrogance is the cover he uses to hide his true feelings of weakness and cowardice, although his cowardice shines through as bright a day and is obvious to everyone...
