I think that the numbers are meaningless. Many of us "50"s are back, reading and enjoying SI. I made several long term friendships on this site and they love reading it again. Having been an editor in NYC, I love the new features allowing graphics and YouTube and soon I'll figure out the "RAW TEXT" thingee. It's a blast!

If you don't use those things on your threads, they are not as meaningful. It seems to me that nothing has been done to stop you from continuing your threads, having your following and enjoying SI for what it has been to you. The drop down menus may be annoying at first, but people are used to that on the web.

Some important things were brought up in this thread and the other SI user thread about changes and payments etc., but to just drone on about "this isn 't the SI, I remember" is getting old. It's not YOUR SI, it's not my SI. And to say there is a "mystery" or something "behind the curtain" is ridiculous. Any one old and new can make up their own minds about reading, posting, responding etc. Everyone I know has commented on the refreshing change to SI from how they remember it. The harassment, the spamming, the gang-like style in which some people behaved is gone pretty much. That's a tribute to management and you will not find that in any other forum. It's a welcome breath of fresh air for many, many old timers like myself.
