Lost, cuz Highway 1 cuts inland to 101, leaving a big chunk without paved roads; lots of logging roads.
It starts not very far NW from me. I haven't been in a few years, but we have a big party at Usal Beach, which was a logging town, now vanished. They used to cable the logs out to ships, to be taken down to SF.
Used to watch pelicans and peregrines diving for fish. Still has a few old growth redwoods.

Save the Redwoods just bought some property for the park which we all thought already was included. We call it The Enchanted Forest.

A unique grove of contorted, multi-armed redwood trees known as the Enchanted Forest is part of a land purchase that will preserve 957 acres at the southern tip of the rugged Lost Coast in northern Mendocino County.
