A lot of Asyst products go to Asia. Not much seems to go to Korea though.

In the latest prospectus, it says that in 1996, 66% of sales were foreign, with Taiwan, Japan, Europe and Singapore being the leading customers.

Since Korea seems to be the worst problem (conglomerates are heavily leveraged) among semiconductor-producing nations, this should be reassuring to investors, but the market price doesn't seem to reflect this.

As an extreme example of this, consider PRIA. It has very little exposure to any customers in Asia at all, and its stock is getting killed just about as badly as any other semi equip. This shows you that the market is either being indiscriminate in which stocks to sell off, or that sales to Asian countries isn't what the market is really concerned about after all.
